Epicous Mountainous!!!

coloring block in... I better watch out or that focal point may get away from me

Did this tonight in preparation for the weeks coloring. Epic is what i go for every time, and with some recent color studies, hopefully it will be awesome. I watched Shaddy Safadi's tutorials on Youtube, which are THE best tutorials I have come across, and now approach big paintings using very meticulous edge control (tons of pixel locks, layer mask, and clipping mask). Its a slow, meticulous process, but the results are a big payoff. Take care

Dub's Boathouse... This was a wedding gift for a great friend of mine. I couldnt find a good reference photo of the boathouse, where they got married, so I built a quick Maya build and did a paint over. Maya is extremely useful for doing concept art, and I use it often in my workflow. In the near future, Ill do a process with Maya post that will hopefully show others just how helpful it is.

Was showing a friend what a Wacom Tablet was when I was back in Louisiana, and the colors turned out surprisingly crisp
